On April 25, 2015, Nepal was struck by a devastating 7.8 earthquake.  Along with destruction to buildings and infrastructure, over 8,000 people perished.  On May 12, this already hard hit region was stuck again with another earthquake, this time measuring 7.6.  The people of Nepal need our help.

Direct Relief is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that provides medical assistance to people around the world who have been affected by poverty, natural disasters, and civil unrest.  Their work spans globally, but have set up a special, dedicated fund specifically for Nepal earthquake relief and recovery.  Their assistance programs are tailored for the particular circumstances and needs of those who have suffered from the effects of natural and man-made disasters. Direct Relief also establishes partnerships with local organizations to provide health services to people in rural areas of a country that are poor and lack basic healthcare infrastructure.

The Nepalese flag is a field of red with 2 white emblems (representing the sun and a crescent moon) and a blue border.  It is also the world’s only non-quadrilateral flag.  The Nepal Earthquake Relief CauseCord features the same colors in #550 paracord survival cord.  $8 of every sale goes directly to Direct Relief.  Learn how to get the perfect fit for your Nepal Earthquake Relief CauseCord by clicking here, and Thank You for your support of Direct Relief and the people of Nepal!
